John Iven Morgan went to be with the Lord on Monday January 18, 2016 at Greenwood Leflore Hospital from heart failure. Services will be graveside at Rocky Branch Cemetery near Oakland, MS at 2:00pm on Wednesday January 20, 2016. Mr. Morgan was born in Oxford to the late John A. Morgan and Margaret I. Horn and lived in Jackson, MS most of his life and has lived in Greenwood the last twenty years. He is survived by a brother, Gene T. Morgan and his wife Anita of Holcolmb, three sisters: Brenda Bishop of Leland, Linda Morgan of Birmingham, AL, and Margie Scott and her husband Ken of Lebanon, TN, and a host of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by a brother, Larry Edward Gordon. Shelly Scallions will officiate the service. Williams and Lord Funeral Home is in charge.
