Funeral services for Mr. John Edward Minga will be held at 2:00PM Friday October 23, 2015 at Williams & Lord Funeral Home.
Mr. Minga, 81 died Wednesday October 21, 2015 at his home. He worked at Medart Locker for 38 years and John Richard. He had a passion for gardening and picking up pecans. He was often referred to as the hardest working man in Greenwood.
He was born May 6, 1934 to the late Edgar and Lydia Minga of Carroll County. He was one of 5 siblings. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Peeples Minga, 3 daughters, Judy Minga Brown (Walter), Barbara Minga Arnold and Gloria Sue Minga all of Greenwood. 3 Grandchildren Tucker Arnold, Jennifer Germany (John) and Monica Bartlett (Andrew). 3 Great grandchildren, Skylar Nester, Molly and Landon Germany all of Greenwood.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23, 2015, 12:00pm till 2:00pm at Williams and Lord Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Tucker Arnold, John Germany, Walter Brown, Andrew Bartlett, Charles Anthony and Bobby Haralson. Honorary pallbearers are Wayne Minga, Reed Minga and Ray Anthony and David Evans. The Rev David Bartlett will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
