Joe Kelly Rowe, 67, of Coila, MS, died Thursday, February 20, 2020 at his residence. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at New Hope Cemetery in Carroll County. Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Williams & Lord Funeral Home. Rev. Tommy Clark and Rev. Larry Edwards will officiate.

Mr. Rowe was born in Greenwood, MS, to John Otis Rowe and Janie Bell Bailey on January 29, 1953. He was a 1972 graduate of Carroll Academy. He was a retired lieutenant with the Greenwood Police Department after 20 years of service. He was a member and deacon of New Hope Baptist Church. His hobbies were wood working, camping, and fishing. He was preceded in death by his nephews, Jarrod Rowe, and Cliff Stubbs.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sally Rowe of Coila, MS; daughter, Alena Rowe-Lester of Starkville, MS; son, Joseph Rowe and wife Tracie of Birmingham, AL; brother Don Rowe and wife Margie of Coila, MS; and five grandchildren, Cooper, Ayla, Morgan, Arya, and Jazmin.

Pallbearers will be Lewis Ray, Hayes Stubbs, Sean Stubbs, James Lester, Jr, Gene Stubbs, Johnny Stubbs, Cameron Stubbs, and Dale Blakely. Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Don Rowe, Jr., Cooper Rowe, Robert Sudduth, and members of the Greenwood Police Department.
