Services for J.C. Prescott, Jr. will be held on Thursday, November 16, 2023 11:00 AM at Williams and Lord Funeral Home in Greenwood, MS.

Mr. Prescott, 76, of Winona, MS, died on Monday, November 13, 2023 at his residence.

Mr. Prescott was born on August 17, 1947 to the late JC Prescott, Sr. and Mauveline Tipton Prescott in Mill Port, AL. He worked as a superintendent for Upchurch Plumbing for over 30 years. He enjoyed commercial fishing, hunting, and visiting Florida. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Betty Mullens; and brother, David Prescott.

He is survived by his wife, Sherry Prescott of Winona, MS; sons, Bobby (Rexanne) Prescott of Pontotoc, MS, and Robbie (Diana) Prescott of Slate Springs, MS; and David (Kristy) Irwin of Fulton, MS; daughters, Tammy (Chris) Carter of Saltillo, MS, Theresa Edwards of Greenwood, MS, Lisa (Andy) Carpenter of Ackerman, MS, and Tabatha Prescott of Carrollton, MS; sixteen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 16, 2023 from 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Rev. Bill Mills will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Kaden Peterson, David Irwin, Jr Ervin, and CJ Sharp. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jerry Mims, James Varnes, Bubba Irwin, and Chris Carter. Burial will be in Bear Creek Cemetery.
