Services for James Carson Winters will be held Wednesday, July 27, 2016 1:00 PM at Williams and Lord Funeral Home.
Mr. Winters, age 54, died on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Greenwood Leflore Hospital.
He was born on September 08, 1961 in Charleston, MS, to James E. and Mary Melton Winters. Mr. Winters was a mechanic for many years at Goodyear. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father and a sister Barbara Jean Reed.
He is survived by Wife of 34 years, Kim Winters of Greenwood, MS; Son, Trey Winters of Grenada, MS; Daughter, Kristy (Jason) Campbell of Carrollton, MS; three Sisters, Brenda Lassett of Carrollton, MS, Sherry (Wendall) Goss of Avalon, MS, and Shander Weldon of Greenwood, MS; a Brother, Jamie Winters of Water Valley, MS; three Grandchildren, Hannah Campbell, Bryce Campbell, Grayson Winters, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Williams & Lord Funeral Home in Greenwood. Bro Kerry Owen will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Cody Goss, Matthew Galey, Michael Galey, Chris Reed, Brandon Reed, and William Shackleford. Honorary Pallbearers will be Wendell Goss, Lou Reed, and Jim Herbert. Burial will be in Magnolia Gardens Cemetery in Paynes, MS.
