James A. "J.W." White, Jr., 79, of Greenwood, MS, died Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at Greenwood Leflore Hospital. Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Friday, September 1, 2017 at Centerville Baptist Church Cemetery in Carroll County. Visitation will be 1p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday, September 1, 2017 at Williams & Lord Funeral Home. Rev. Zane Hodges will officiate. Williams & Lord Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. White was born September 8, 1937 in Greenwood, MS, to James Alvin White, Sr. and Annie Mae Johnson White. He was a member of Centerville Baptist Church. He was a farmer and co-owner of White Brothers Farms where he retired in 2015. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing and hunting. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Meri Elliott and his parents.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Robbie Nell Rickles White of Greenwood, MS; son, Thomas Keith Ratliff of Greenwood, MS; daughters, Lisa White of Pollock, LA, Kem Watson of Greenwood, MS, and Marie Staples of Greenwood, MS; brother, Earl C. White of Carroll County, MS; sister, Shirley Grantham of Carroll County, MS; seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Trent Trussell, Will Trussell, Grant Trussell, Clint White, Eugene Grantham, and Johnny Jackson.
