Mr. Nance, age 55, died on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at his residence of cancer.

He was born on May 31, 1963 in Greenwood, MS, to Ralph Douglas and Mary Jane Dozier Nance and lived in Greenwood, MS. He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Douglas Nance. James was a graduate of Pascagoula High School and received his Bachelor's Degree from Delta State University .He was employed at Viking Range for over 25 years.

He is survived by his wife, Tonya Hill Nance of Greenwood, MS; daughters, Courtney Nance and (Kendull) of Greenwood, MS, and Hannah Nance of Greenwood, MS; sons, Tyler Nance of Greenwood, MS, Cody Nance of Greenwood, MS, and Walt(Clara) Nance of Minter City, MS; mother, Mary Jane Nance of Itta Bena, MS; and grandchildren, Luke Mueller, Lizzy Mueller and Aubrie Riley.

Williams & Lord Funeral Home is in charge. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St Jude PL Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
