James Earl Moorehead , Sr . 51, of Winona, MS, died Saturday, May 28, 2022 at  Diversicare of Eupora. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, June 10, 2022 at the American Legion Post 29 on Claiborne Avenue in Greenwood, MS.

He was born June 21, 1970 to Roger Moorehead and Eunice Vest Moorehead in Corcoran, California. He attended Greenwood Public Schools and resided in this area most of his life. He was a truck driver and of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his sons, James Earl Moorehead, Jr. of Winona, MS, and John Henry Moorehead of Carrollton, MS; daughters, Eunice Marie Moorehead of Texas, and Samantha Nicole Moorehead of Winona, MS; brothers, Lynn Smith of Greenwood, MS, Robert Smith of Greenwood, MS, and Doug Smith of Carrollton, MS; sisters, Brenda Switzer of Columbus, MS, Sylvia Curtis of Carrollton, MS, and Amy Moorehead of Boyle, MS; five grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
