James "Red" Little, 65, of Greenwood, MS, died Friday, June 3, 2022 at his residence. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Williams & Lord Funeral Home with visitation 9:30 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery in Carroll County, MS. Rev. Billy Little will officiate.

James was born September 27, 1956 in Memphis, TN, to Clarence Arthur Little, Sr. and Octavia Lorene Youngblood. He was of the Baptist faith.  He graduated from West Tallahatchie High School and Holmes Community College. He served in the United States Navy where he painted airplanes for the military. He enjoyed music and playing the guitar. He retired from being a truck driver.

He is survived by his son, Aaron Little of Carrollton, MS; daughters, Misty Little of Greenwood, MS, and Candice Davis of Mize, MS; sister, Marsha Miller of Greenwood, MS; brother, Clarence Little of Carrollton, MS; and ten grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be David Little, Steven Miller, Jeremy Miller, Candice Davis, Clarence Little, and Eddie McCammon. Honorary pallbearers will be Zack Davis, Matthew Redmond, Ellett Thomas, Jeremy Storey, Chase Gaines, and Eddie Cornish.

Military rites will be conducted by Keesler-Hamrick-Gillespie American Legion Post 29.
