Services for Mr. James Henry Goss, Sr. will be held on Sunday, January 15, 2023 3:00 PM at Williams and Lord Funeral Home in Greenwood, MS.

Mr. Goss, age 85, died on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at Gilmore Amory Hospital in Amory, MS.

He was born on September 11, 1937 in Greenwood, MS, to the late John Henry Goss and Nora Dell Gardner Goss. He attended Greenwood Public Schools and was of the Baptist faith. He retired from Service Auto Parts. He enjoyed working on automobiles and small engines. He was dedicated to his late wife of 60 years as a full time caretaker. He is preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette Goss, brother, John William Goss; and sister, Bernice Williams.

He is survived by his son, James H. "Bubba" (Susan) Goss of Nettleton, MS; daughter, Glenda Lynette (Frankie) Coleman of AR; sister, Dorothy Faulkner of LA; grandchildren, Marie Reese, Cliff Coleman, Jammie Milner, and Will Goss; and great-grandchildren, Alex Reese, Makayla Reese, Logan Reese, and Abby Kayte Goss.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 15, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the funeral home. Rev. Jody Rock will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Cliff Coleman, Will Goss, Alex Reese, Matthew Milner, Wesley Reese, and Troy Motsinger. Burial will be in Centerville Cemetery.
