James Edward "Hillbilly" Blankenship, 56, of Sidon, MS, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 20, 2026.

He is survived by his wife, Lucy Carol Blankenship; three sons, Thomas (Jamila) Blankenship, Charlie (Karron) Blankenship, and Mack Winters III, all of Sidon, MS; two daughters, Crystal Winters and Jade Winters, both of Sidon, MS; two sisters, Katherine Sullivan of Carthage, MS, and Melissa Winters, of Saucier, MS; brother, Mack Winters Jr.; four grandchildren, Trevor Brown, Joe Brown, and Treyson Brown, all of Greenwood, MS, and Josie Cadena of Gore Springs, MS; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

Services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, February 21, 2026, at the family residence.
