Irene Barefoot Swindle , 91, of Greenwood, MS, died Monday, March 23, 2020 at her residence. Graveside services will be 4 p.m. Wednesday at Odd Fellows East Cemetery. Rev. Dennis McKay will officiate.

Mrs. Swindle was born February 12, 1929 in Pine Bluff, MS, to John Ed Barefoot and Ada Woods Barefoot. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. She attended Calvary Baptist Church. Her hobbies were cooking and gardening. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Franklin Swindle, nine brothers and sisters, and a daughter, Ada Elizabeth Mitchell.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Ann Stinson and husband Billy of Greenwood, MS, one grandson, David Jared Mitchell of Mobile, AL, and two great-granddaughters, Lilee Mitchell and Madalyn Huff.
