Graveside services for Helen Orene Leigh will be held Sunda, August 20, 2017 at 3:00 PM in the Leigh Family Cemetery in Coila, MS.

Ms. Leigh, age 80, died on Friday, August 11, 2017, at her residence in Black Hawk of heart failure.  She was born on June 30, 1937 in Carroll County, MS, to the late Robert and Dessie Sudduth Farrish. She was raised in the Black Hawk area, married to the late Herman Carl Leigh, was of the Baptist faith and attended Mt. Olive Baptist Church. She loved to play cards, especially Poker and Rook. She enjoyed helping her daughter in law in the kitchen and looking after the family pets. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers, Robert Farrish and LZ Farrish; and three sisters, Doris Compton, Minie Acy, and Mary Windham.

She is survived by one daughter, Angie (Ken) Mitchell of Braidwood, IL; two sons, Lindon Leigh of Carrollton, MS, and Lewis "Bubba" (Rene) Leigh of Coila, MS; one brother, Marvin (Rose) Farrish of Black Hawk, MS; and numerous nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Dill Tucker, Cecil Tucker, Kevin Leigh, Brian Parish, and Mark Sanders. Bro. Dennis Sullivan will be officiating. Williams and Lord Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. An online guestbook can be signed at www.williamsandlord.com.
