Mrs. Chamblee, age 79, died on Monday, September 23, 2019 at her residence.
She was born on October 22, 1939 to the late Thomas and Rena Carpenter Holeman in Leflore County, and resided in Morgan City. She worked as a key punch operator for the Mississippi Highway Patrol for over 20 years, and at the Mississippi Employment Service for over 10 years. She is preceded in death by her husband, Henry Bruce Chamblee, Sr., son, Henry Bruce "Butch" Chamblee, Jr., and a sister, Mary Elizabeth Lloyd.
She is survived by her daughter, Sherry (Tommie) Mayhall of Tremont, MS; son, Keith "Peewee" Chamblee of Morgan City, MS; brother, Douglas Wayne Holeman of Morgan City, MS; sister, Sue Sanders of Holcomb, MS; seven grandchildren, Mark Chamblee, Tyler Chamblee, Bobby (Shanna) Crenshaw, Jeremy (Brandee) Crenshaw, Amanda (Nathan) Garrison, Kaitlyn Chamblee, Drew Chamblee, and 10 great grandchildren
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Rev. Tommie Mayhall will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Lloyd, Tim Lloyd, Randy Lloyd, Joey Long, Wayne Holeman, and Jamie Holeman. Honorary Pallbearers will be Danny Lloyd, Robert Crenshaw, David Grossman, Tom Grossman, and Tim Horn. Burial will be in Odd Fellows East Cemetery.
