Harvey Sanford "Boe" Ellis, 86, of Blackhawk, MS, passed away Friday, February 20, 2026 at his residence. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 23, 2026 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church. Rev. Ed McDaniel will officiate the services. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Boe was born on February 3, 1940, in Sunflower County to the late Harvey Ellis and Mary Louise Funderburk Ellis, and he spent his entire life residing in Blackhawk. He dedicated 40 years of service to Baldwin Piano before retiring. He also served for many years as an Election Commissioner for Carroll County and was a faithful member of Mt Olive Baptist Church. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Camille Kazary.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Paulette Ellis of Blackhawk; his sons, Darryl Ellis (Sonia) of Coila, MS, and Douglas Ellis of Manila, AR; two grandchildren, Kyle Ellis (Kim) and Brittany Stone (Allen); and six great-grandchildren, Alyssa Stone, Levi Stone, Callie Ellis, Owen Stone, Chloe Ellis, and Lexi Stone.

Pallbearers will be Dwayne Coward, Mike Acy, Bubba Daves, Allen Stone, Danny Henson, and Bob Tate. Honorary pallbearers will be Marion Boggs, Junior Funderburk, Harold Gordin, Steve Daves, Alan Daves, and Jerry Galey.
