Mr. Harold Hughes Kent, 91, left this world on May 25, 2022. He peacefully passed away surrounded by family after a lengthy illness.

Harold was born on March 4, 1931 in Teoc, MS, to the late Jesse Arnold Kent and Eula Jackson Kent and lived in Carrollton, MS. He served for two years in the US Army including deployment to Nancy, France. After finishing his service he married his true love, Zelma Walls Kent, and enjoyed 65 wonderful years of companionship and joy. He worked for 44 years as a Farm Implement Mechanic in Greenwood, MS, where he lived and retired at the age of 62. Harold loved dogs and cats and treated them with loyalty, dedication, and care that they returned in kind. He enjoyed carpentry, hunting, watching professional wrestling and westerns, tending his garden and extending a helping hand to all in need. He was a kind and honest man without an ounce of guile in his bones.

He is now reunited with his loving wife, Zelma Walls Kent, who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death are his parents, brothers, Albert (Buddy) Kent and Gerald (Jack) Kent, and sisters, Elma Kent Fowler, Jewell Kent Gurley and Margie Kent Burt.
