Obituary

Gladys Louise Andrews Overly, 82, of Greenwood, MS, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, July 14, 2023. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Williams & Lord Funeral Home with visitation 9:30 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery. Rev.  Mitchell Long and Rev. Hal Clark will officiate.

She was born February 3, 1941 to Armettie Beatrice Butler and Thomas Leroy Beavers in Smith County, MS. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was employed by Four Rivers Tackle for 54 years. She loved gardening, fishing, and sewing.

She is preceded in death by her husbands, Tommy Lee Andrews and Lloyd George Overly; her parents, Armettie Beatrice Butler and Thomas Leroy Beavers; her brothers, Thomas Larry Beavers and Hiram Leroy "Pete" Beavers; and sister, Mattie Frances "Cootie" Todd.

She is survived by her  sons, Gary (Bonnie) Andrews of North Carrollton, MS, and Edward "Bubba" Andrews of Greenwood, MS; daughter,  Susan (Lloyd) Calder of Brandon, MS; stepdaughter, Brandy Overly Boudreau of Bossier City, LA; grandchildren, Kristy Turner (Jeff) of Vaiden, MS, Tommy Andrews of El Campo, TX, Chelsea Scarbrough (Michael) of  Pearl, MS, Tiffany Andrews McWilliams (Jack) of Cleveland, MS, Bailey Barr (Madison) of Bossier City, LA, Carson Boudreau of Bossier City, LA, and Nolan Boudreau of Bossier City, LA;  great grandchildren, Branden Andrews of  Vaiden, MS, Dillon Turner of  Vaiden, MS, Lee Andrews of El Campo, TX, Jamye Palmer of  Vaiden, MS, Stephanie Scarbrough of Pearl, MS, Lily McWilliams of Cleveland, MS, and Lucy McWilliams  of Cleveland, MS; great- great grandchildren, Jurnee Lynn Palmer of  Vaiden, MS, Jace Palmer of Vaiden, MS, and Maggie Andrews  of  Grenada, MS; and  sister, Lynn Chatham (Joey) of Minden, LA.

Pallbearers will be Robbie Upchurch, Mike Upchurch, Mike Hawkins, David Upchurch, Sammy Overly, Thomas Beavers, and Wayne Beavers. Honorary pallbearers will be Branden Andrews, Dillon Turner, Jeff Leamond, Jeff Palmer,

Michael Scarbrough, Tommy Andrews, and Lee Andrews. The family would like to give a special thanks to Vital Caring.
