George Belma Winters, 87 of Pascagoula, MS formerly of Greenwood died Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Singing River Hospital in Pascagoula, MS. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Williams & Lord Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, January 8, 2016 at Williams & Lord Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Joseph Sansing will officiate. Williams & Lord Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Winters was born in Moorhead, MS to the late John Calvin Winters and Mary Lockey Carroll Winters. He worked all his life in the service industry as manager of Royal Crown Cola in Greenwood, MS for 19 years and 20 years as a branch manager of White Rose Linen services. George was a deacon at Valley Hill Baptist Church for many years. He met his bride Daisy Hazel Campbell Winters in Greenwood spending over 65 years together. After his declining health, they moved to live with their son, Douglas Winters of Moss Point, Ms. George was surrounded by much family that loved him, his loving wife Daisy, their three sons Douglas Winters of Moss Point, Marion Winters and wife Beverly of Ocean Springs, Wayne Winters and wife Anna of Spring Hill, TN, and their daughter Karen Dallas and husband Charles of Moss Point. Eleven grandchildren Beth Hobson and husband Sam of Holcomb, Eric Winters and wife Holly of Texarkana, TX, Kendra Dallas of Moss Point, Michael Winters of New Orleans, LA, Cody Winters of Greenwood, Clint Dallas and wife Rachel of Fischbach, Germany, Melanie Byrd and husband Jonas of Salt Lake City, UT, Lauren Winters of Spring Hill, TN, Lindsey Harper and husband Lucas of SantaFe, TN, Brian Winters of Ocean Springs, and Lawson Winters of Spring Hill, TN. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren Gracie, Ashlyn, Jake, Sophia, Holly and Lila.
Pallbearers will be Eric Winters, Cody Winters, Lawson Winters, Sam Hobson, Lucas Harper, Brian Winters, and Johnathan Griiffin.
