George Perkins, 72, of Greenwood, MS, died Friday, May 31, 2019 at Greenwood Leflore Hospital. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, at Williams & Lord Funeral Home. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. until service time. Rev. Kay Gunter will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Perkins was born October 4, 1946 to the late George Henry Perkins and Tressie Guthrie Perkins. He attended Immanuel Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and bowling.

Mr. Perkins is survived by his wife, Pauline Whatley Perkins of Greenwood, MS; sons, Robert Perkins of Greenwood, MS, and Jason Perkins of Greenwood, MS; daughter, Lisa Morris of Hernando, MS; sisters, Regina Faye Morris, Ruth Ross, Kay Gunter, and Dixie Thompson; brother, John Wayne Perkins; 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Paul Bland, Thomas Younger, Brandon Younger, Cody Morris, Tyler Morris, and Roy Haley.

Williams & Lord Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
