George "Buddy" Bankston
February 28, 1948- September 25, 2015

Mr. George "Buddy" Bankston, 67 of Greenwood, MS died Friday September 25, 2015 at Greenwood Leflore Hospital of heart failure. Funeral services will be Tuesday September 29, 2015 at 2:00 pm at the Williams and Lord Funeral Home Chapel, Reverend Preston Butch Kelly will Officiate.
Mr. Bankston was born February 28th 1948 in Panola County, to the late Aaron and Martha Bankston. He resided in Greenwood, MS for 40 years. He worked, as a farmer, for the late Kenny Creswell, and he was a member of Riverside Baptist Church in Money, MS.
Mr. Bankston is preceded in death by his parents Aaron and Martha Bankston.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Jeanette Bankston; one daughter, Belinda Myers and husband Wayne Myers, of Greenwood, MS, two sons, David Bankston of Greenwood, MS and Michael Wayne Bankston and wife Shelby Bankston, of Greenwood, MS; a sister, Mary Ann Melton of Coffeeville, MS. and a very special family member Jeri Lynn Bankston of Greenwood, MS. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Jamie Lee Morgan Myers, Michael Thomas Bankston, Cristin Renea Bankston, Wyatt Snow and Ashley Bankston, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Donald Moore, Jerry Mac Moore, Brad Wier, Lee Palmertree, Chris Kelly and Trey Kelly. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jerry Caldwell and Dale Goss. Visitation will be held Tuesday September 29, 2015 from 12:00pm till 2:00pm at the Williams and Lord Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Centerville Cemetery.
