Fred Ray Lester

Services for Fred Ray Lester will be held on Monday, October 24, 2022 11:00 AM at Blackhawk Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Everette officiating.

Mr. Lester went to be with our Lord and Savior on Friday, October 21, 2022. Fred was loved by his family and friends. He was a graduate of West Tallahatchie High School and attended Georgia Tech University. He was member of Blackhawk Baptist Church and was also a Mason and Shriner. He was an agricultural crop duster for many years. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Horace Lester and Lela Lester; brothers, Gene Lester, and James Lester; and sisters, Margaret Mitchell, Alice Outzs, Patsy Johnson, and Sue Forrest.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Lester; children, Deborah Schmitz (Mike), Maxine Stanley (Mike), Tommy Everette (Mary Ann), Brandy Smith (Jeremy), Tammy Jones (Eddie); sisters, Deborah Robertson, and Sandra Land (Harold); and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time Monday, October 24, 2022 at the church. Pallbearers will be Willie Bramlett, Ritchie Mims, Morgan Mims, Casey Murphy, Dawson Stanley, and Bailey Howard. Honorary pallbearers will be Tony Wells, Mike Stanley, Mike Schmitz, Eddie Jones, Jeremy Smith, Stevie Akers, and Dr. Syed Rafique. Burial will be in the Blackhawk Baptist Church Cemetery.
