Graveside services for Fred Bennett will be held Monday, November 6, 2017 12:00 PM in McNutt Cemetery in Schlater, MS.
Mr. Bennett, age 71, died on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at his residence with his family by his side.
He was born on December 11, 1945 in West, MS, to the late Joe and Ivy Adell Bennett. He grew up in and around Minter City. He was an avid outdoorsman and spent much of his time hunting and fishing. Mr. Bennett loved his family and enjoyed spending time and caring for them. He will be dearly missed by all who loved him. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Teresa Nelson Bennett; three brothers, Robert Marsh, Allen Bennett, and Winford Bennett; one daughter, Sherry Lynn Bennett; and one grandchild, Ashley Moore.
He is survived by two sons, Joe Bennett of Money, MS, and Fred Bennett Jr. of Money, MS; three daughters, Angela Bennett of Money, MS, Freda Moore of Money, MS, and Theola Bennett and her fiance Bryan May Sr. of Sidon, MS; four grandsons, Ronald Moore Jr., Christopher Moore, Johnathon Moore, and Jacob Bennett; one granddaughter, Megan Bennett; and five great grand children.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 6, 2017 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Williams & Lord Funeral Home in Greenwood. Pallbearers will be Fred Bennett Jr., Joe Bennett, Christopher Moore, Johnathon Moore, Bryan May Sr., and Jerry Moore. Honorary Pallbearers will be Donald Moore and Ronald Moore.
