Services for Franz "Buddy" Lindsey will be held Monday, April 24, 2017 11:00 AM graveside in Itta Bena Cemetery.
Mr. Lindsey, age 86, died on Friday, April 21, 2017 at his residence of heart failure.
He was born on July 13, 1930 in Monroe County, MS, to the late Marshall and Ollie Martin Lindsey and lived in the Phillipston- Sidon area most of his life. His Hobbies were camping and fishing. He was a member of the Phillipston Baptist Church and was an US Army Veteran of the Korean War where he reached the rank of Corporal.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Shirley Morgan Lindsey of Sidon, MS; four sisters, Hazel Logan of Stewart, MS, Brent Moak of Byram, MS, Shirley Wiggins of Sidon, MS, and Della Worbington of Stewart, MS, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 24, 2017 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Williams & Lord Funeral Home in Greenwood. Rev George Mims will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be John Logan, David Devito, Randy Lloyd, Matt Conner, Robert Conner, and Bobby Sims. Honorary Pallbearers will be James Worbington, Ronnie Shows, Dale Conner, and James Conner. Burial will be in Itta Bena Cemetery.
