Frances Lorene Mounce, 78, of Greenwood died Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at Greenwood Leflore Hospital. Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Odd Fellows Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Williams & Lord Funeral Home. Rev. Lanny Haley will officiate the services.
She was born January 30, 1938 in Greenwood to Edward Haddon and Dora Payne Haddon. She lived in Greenwood her entire life and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. She loved to sew and play Bunco. She was one of the best cooks; her specialties were chicken pot pie and sweet potato cream cheese pie. She loved her dogs and her family, and was very passionate about her job as an inspector at Supreme Electronics for over 30 years. She will be deeply missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, William Haddon, Lloyd Haddon, Floyd Haddon, James Haddon, and two grandchildren.
Mrs. Mounce is survived by her sons; Donald Smith of Greenwood, MS, Allen Smith of Greenwood, MS, daughters, Rhonda Drummond of Greenwood, MS, Sharon Salmon of Charleston, MS, Jan Calvet of Baton Rouge, LA, and brother, Robert Haddon of Greenwood, MS. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be friends and family. Williams & Lord Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
