Services for Evelyn Taylor Smith will be held Thursday, December 28, 2017 2:00 PM at Hill View Baptist Church in Greenwood, MS.
Ms. Smith, age 79, died on Friday, December 22, 2017, at Greenwood Leflore Hospital of heart failure.
She was born on January 7, 1938 in Clarksdale, MS, to the late Louis Grinvil and Myrtis Bailey Taylor and attended the Lambert MS Public Schools, she received a nursing degree in Clarksdale, and then went on to attend Ole Miss. She practiced nursing for 40 years and worked mostly in Greenwood. She was a member of Hill View Baptist Church and enjoyed crafts, writing, and painting. She is preceded in death by her parents, and one son, Joel Bailey.

She is survived by two daughters, Robbye Vickery of , AR, and, Michele Richard of Crestview, FL; three sons, Jimmy Richardson of Orange, CA, Guyle Richardson of Greenwood, MS, and Billy Joe Richardson of LA; god daughter, Lenora Bustillos of Greenwood, MS; two sisters, Peggy Joyce Smith of Spring, TX, and Agnes Mayo of Clarksdale, MS; and fourteen grand children.
