Ernestine (Love) Boggan Stegall, 82, of Greenwood died Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at Indywood Glenn Personal Care. Visitation will be 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, October 15, 2015 at Williams & Lord Funeral Home and services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, October 15, 2015 at Williams & Lord Chapel. Burial will be in Odd Fellows East Cemetery. Rev. Perry Irvin will officiate at the services. Williams & Lord Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Stegall was born in Boyle,MS to the late Ernest and Sybil Bevell Boggan. She resided in Greenwood most of her life. She worked at the Crystal Grill for a number of years and also at Yianni's Restaurant before her retirement. She was preceded in death by husbands Milton Trainer and Frank Stegall. Also two sisters Helen Louise Timbs, Annette Williams, her daughter Becky Ellis and grandchild Little Larry Ellis, brother Buddy Boggan and Billy Wayne Boggan. She had been a resident since 2013 at Indywood Glen Personal Care. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed working in her yard and collecting teapots.
Mrs. Stegall is survived by her son William Trainer and wife Renee of Indianoplus, IN, her daughter Glenda Upchurch and husband Mike of Carrollton and Teresa Baker of Greenwood and brother Ernest "Sonny" Boggan of Edgewater Florida. Six sisters Barbara Ann Bennett of Duncan, MS, Anita Faye Murphy of Winona, Charlotte Dianne McKay of Berea, KY, Linda Carol Lott of Greenwood, Carolyn Sue Monroe of Mobile, AL and Donna Marie Ross of Edgewater, FL. Nine grandchildren, twenty four great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren Channing Upchurch, Jacob Upchurch, Grant Trainer, Wesley Trainer, Reese Trainer, Cameron Baker, Christopher Baker
