Services for Emma "Mamaw Haley" Borresen will be held Saturday April 02, 2016 10:30 AM at Williams & Lord Funeral Home in Greenwood, MS. Mrs. Borresen, age 92 died on Wednesday March 30, 2016 at Riverview Nursing Home of Heart Failure
She was born on June 26, 1923 in Carroll County to the late George B. Johnson Wiggins and Lavilla Mae Oates Wiggins and lived in Greenwood for most of her life.
"Mamaw Haley" was what she was lovingly called by the many children that she cared for over the years as a care provider. As time passed, she cared for the children of children whom she cared for earlier in her life. She was of the Baptist faith and loved to do arts and crafts as her hobby. She is preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Charlie James Haley, she was also married to Richard A. Borrenson for several years, children: Charles "Buddy" Haley, Don W. Haley, James Haley, Martha Haley Brown, Earnestine Haley Smith, brothers: Wade Wiggins, Charles Wiggins, TW Wiggins, Jim Wiggins, and Billy Wiggins.
She is survived by four sons: Roy (Maxine) Haley of Carrollton, Neil(Cindy) Haley of Tupelo, Roger(Suzanne) Haley of Greenwood and Bobby(Virginia) Haley of Greenwood, seven daughters, Christine Cumberland of Philadelphia, Margaret Logan of Greenwood, Margie McDonald of Greenwood, Nell(Gary) Wilson of Greenwood, Brenda(Jimmy) Methvin of Greenwood, Sue Moody of Greenwood, and Jean Tolliver of Pasco, WA, one sister, Frances Holliman of Grand Prairie, TX, five brothers, James Wiggins of Carrollton, Carl Wiggins of Carrollton, Lloyd Wiggins of AR, Herbert Wiggins of TX, and William Lee Wiggins of Houlka, MS one sister in law, Elizabeth Wiggins of Carroll County, 40 grandchildren, 83 great grandchildren, a number of great great and great great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday April 1, 2016 from 5-7pm at Williams & Lord Funeral Home in Greenwood. Rev William Brown will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be grandchildren. Burial will be in Mount Pisgah Cemetery following the services.
