Elna Jean Horne, 77, of Cullman, AL, formerly of Avalon, MS, died Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at Cullman Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Williams & Lord Funeral Home in Greenwood, MS, with visitation 10 a.m. until service time. Burial will follow in Enon Methodist Church Cemetery in Carroll County. Rev. Mike Schmitz and Rev. Steve Cummins will officiate the services.

Mrs. Horne was born December 13, 1948 in Avalon, to Albert and Corean Goss Minyard. She was an active member of Cullman Church of Christ and a graduate of J.Z. George High School in North Carrollton, MS. She was preceded in death by her husband of 21 years, Carl Horne, great grandson, James Reece Minga, and her parents.

Survivors include her son, Shannon Minga (Jennifer) of Holcomb, MS; daughter, Deanette Edgar (Don) of Fayetteville, NC; sister, Sue Lott of Cullman, AL; seven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
