Edward Gerald McCool, 62 of Indianola died Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Delta Regional Medical Center in Greenville. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday, January 8, 2016 at Williams & Lord Funeral Home in Ruleville. Visitation will be Friday, January 8, 2016 from 12 p.m. til service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lehrton Cemetery in Ruleville. Rev. Tim Howell will officiate.
Mr. McCool was born September 26, 1953 to Alvin McCool and Helen King McCool. He was a self-employed heavy equipment operator. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Jerry McCool.
He is survived by his wife Beverly Waldrup McCool of Indianola, daughter Patreasa Claridy of Greenville, son Alvin McCool of Ruleville and brother Joe McCool of Ruleville, step-daughter Cristen Chrismond of Monticello, AR and step-son Lee Dickerson of Gautier, MS. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Charles Hancock, Robert Joe Ware, Aubrey Shaw, Bubba Cobb, Rison Harris and P.K Nelson. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Cobb, David Oswalt, Joe Tannehill and Dwayne Williamson.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
