Services for Edith Gwendolyn Burleson Harbin will be held Friday, May 5, 2017 12 pm at Williams and Lord Funeral Home in Greenwood, MS.
Mrs. Harbin, age 76, went to be with her Lord on Monday, May 1, 2017 at Golden Age Nursing Home in Greenwood.
She was born on August 1, 1940 in Greenwood, MS, to the late Quinton and Maybelle Shelton Burleson. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Greenwood. She was a graduate of Greenwood High School. She worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Thad Andrews for three years, and then worked in California and Virginia. She also worked for the US Postal Service for several years.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Harold Harbin of Greenwood, MS; a daughter, Gwendolyn Harbin Killebrew of Huntersville, NC; sons, Lee Harbin of El Cajon, CA, and Tony Dean of Ramona, CA; 6 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Friday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the funeral home prior to services. Graveside dedication will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Greenwood on Carrollton Ave. President Kevin Hessey will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Shane Killebrew, Chase Killebrew, Ricky Harbin, Dwayne Harbin, Don Rowe, and Dale Blakely. Honorary Pallbearers will be Don Leach, James Taylor, Gene York, Paul Harbin, Russell Harbin, and Allen Harbin.
