Dot was born in Schlater, MS, on September 29, 1936 to James William and Martha Clyde Henderson Dyche. Dot was a retired Registered Nurse, who began her nursing career in the late 70s. She earned her LPN degree from Mississippi Delta Community College, and later received her Associate's Degree in Nursing through Holmes Community College in Grenada, Mississippi, where she graduated with honors. She later obtained her Nursing Home Administrator's License.

She served the community of Greenwood, at Greenwood Leflore Hospital, Golden Age Nursing Home, Sta-Home Healthcare and Crystal Health and Rehab. She served with distinction and was highly regarded within the medical community.

Dot was selected to be part of a group, which traveled to Washington D.C. to lobby before the United States Congress on behalf of Home Health.

In addition to being a nurse, she also served as a great leader, teacher and mentor for colleagues, friends, parents and family.

Dot enjoyed time with family, playing board games, drinking coffee, watching Wheel of Fortune and Family Feud, listening to Elvis at Christmas, working crossword puzzles, communicating with friends, and above all, was always available to help anyone in need. She was also lauded for her talent as a cook of southern meals. She once baked twenty eight pecan pies for friends during Christmas Holidays. Dot considered Malmaison Baptist Church in Carroll County, Mississippi, her home church. Dot loved the Word of God and would readily express her belief and faith in her Savior, Jesus Christ.

Dot was deeply loved and will be missed beyond words.
