Daniel (Danny) W. Robertson, age 67, of Greenwood, passed away after a lengthy illness on September 12, 2023 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS.

Danny was born June 21, 1956 in Greenwood and lived his entire life in the area.  He was an ordained minister and loved to play his guitar and sing.  Performing in church and nursing homes was his calling. He continued his passion even for the last 8 years as a resident at Crystal Health & Rehab, playing and singing to his fellow occupants.

Danny was preceded in death by his wife, Janice (Jan) Tunder Robertson,

daughter, Martha Palmertree, father, Lee (Bud) Robertson, and mother, Lucille Yates.  He is survived by his son, Bobby Robertson (Jessica) of Greenwood, seven grandchildren, Danielle Robertson, Katelynn Robertson, Lauren Robertson, Jeanette Palmertree, Isabella Palmertree, Damion Green, and Jada Green, brothers, Terry Robertson (Nancy) of Fredericksburg, TX, Al Robertson of Stewart, MS, and Tony Robertson (Barb) of The Villages, FL, and aunts, Lorreta Acy of Coila, MS, and  Sarah Robertson of Brandon, MS, uncle, Albert Robertson of Brandon, MS, and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.

Memorial / funeral services will be held at Williams & Lord Funeral Home in Greenwood on Friday, October 20, 2023, with visitation from 10:00am – 11:00am, chapel service from 11:00 a.m.  – 12 noon.  Graveside service will follow at Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery in Coila, MS.
