Memorial services for Daniel Joe Martin "DJ" will be held Thursday, October 21, 2021 at 11 A.M.at Mound Cemetery in Rolling Fork, MS

Mr. Martin, age 41, died on Friday, October 15, 2021 at his residence.

He was born on October 12, 1980 in Yazoo City, MS, to Alvin and Brenda Fay Heathcock Ray and lived in Drew, Mississippi. Daniel enjoyed tinkering on cars and loved history.

He is survived by his wife, Amy Preston of Merced, CA, daughters, Taci Glidden of Merced, CA,  and Mikalya Preston of Merced, CA, son, Daniel Martin Jr. of Merced, CA, father, Alvin Ray of Drew, MS, mother, Brenda Heathcock Ray of Hattiesburg, MS, brother, Evan (Brittany) Ray of Hattiesburg, MS, sister, Courtney Martin of Hattiesburg, MS, three nephews, Lincoln Ray of Hattiesburg, MS, Michael Blevins and Zachary Blevins of Dos Palos, CA, and a niece, Shyanne Nelson of Lumberton, MS.
