Cynthia Jo Thornburg, 65, of Greenwood, MS, died Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at her residence. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Drew Cemetery with visitation 8:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. at Williams and Lord Funeral Home in Greenwood, MS.  Rev. Ronnie Sessum will officiate.

Cynthia was born February 19, 1959, in Greenwood, MS, to Bobby Parkerson and Alice Henderson Parkerson. She was a member of Christ Baptist Church. She enjoyed working in her garden and fishing. She was a business administrator for nursing homes throughout Mississippi. She was preceded in death by her sister, Patrice Parkerson, and her parents.

She is survived by her sons, Ray Thornburg of Greenwood, MS, and Christopher Jones of TN; her sister Christy Sessum of TN; and nephew, Michael Sessum of TN.
