Concepcion Barbosa Pettway, age 61, born October 14, 1962 in Greenwood, Mississippi was Promoted to Glory Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at her home in Mobile, Alabama. She is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Pettway; parents, Carlos R. Barbosa and Maria G. Barbosa; brother, Francisco Barbosa; sister, Maria B. Williams; and niece, Marcia D. Shields.

She is survived by her daughters, Natalie Shields, Josefa Shields, Jamie Brown, and Jean Smith; sons, Justin Pettway, Joshua Pettway, and Daniel Pettway; brothers, Carlos Barbosa Jr., and Jesus Barbosa; sisters, Juanita Barbosa and Rosa Barbosa; nineteen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; beloved dog Tinker; and numerous extended family members.

Conchita was known as a loving mother to many, she loved her family and treasured her friends. She will be greatly missed. Rejoice for God's love and peace.

Pallbearers will be Darrell Hunt, Vernell Hunt, Bryan Glass, Bryan Martin, Jett Barnes and Lawrence Outlaw.

Visitation will be held at Williams and Lord Funeral Home on Monday, August 26, 2024 from 10:00 AM till 12:00 PM. Services will follow the visitation 12:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Odd Fellows East Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or The Salvation Army of Greenwood, MS.
