Services for Clara Long Bond will be held Wednesday, April 18, 2018 2:00 PM at Calvary Baptist Church in Greenwood, MS.

Mrs. Bond, age 73, died on Monday, April 16, 2018 at Greenwood Leflore Hospital.

Mrs. Bond was born on May 04, 1944 in Duck Hill, MS, to the late Ellis A. and Lodell Lampkin Long and resided in Greenwood all her life. She worked for the city of Greenwood for 36 years, Glen Miller Construction, and Golden Age Nursing Home. She was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church where she was chairman of the kitchen committee. She loved to cook, travel, and spend time with her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Chester Bond, Sr.

She is survived by her son, Chester "Chet"(Linda) Bond of Greenwood, MS; two daughters, Jenny Bond (Kevin) Yarbrough of Cordova, TN, and Pam Bond (Ed) Patrosso of Hernando, MS; sister, Jo McCluskey of Carrollton, MS; sister in Law, Betty(Sammy) Neely of Greenwood, MS; and four grandchildren, Mary Kathryn Shaw, Piper Yarbrough, Tatum Yarbrough, and Auggie Patrosso.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Calvary Baptist Church in Greenwood. Rev Leon Holly and Rev David Fredrick will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Wayne Cox, Shane Cox, Sambo Neely, Bill McCluskey, Ray McCluskey, and Chuck McCain. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dan Jones, Sammy Neely, and Billy Cox. Burial will be in Longview Cemetery in Carroll County.

The family extends a special thanks to Mary Calhoun and the staff of Country Meadow Personal Care Home for their loving care to Mrs. Bond.
