Carl Kimes, Jr. , 64, of Cruger, MS, died Friday, April 7, 2017 at Greenwood Leflore Hospital. Graveside services will be 3:30 p.m. Sunday, April 9, 2017 at Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery in Carroll County. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, April 9, 2017 at Williams & Lord Funeral Home. Burial will be in Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Eddie Painter will officiate at the services.

He was born in Greenville, MS, to the late Melvin Carl Kimes, Sr. and Geniese Estes Kimes. He lived in the Harmony Community the past 15 years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of Vietnam and a member of Harmony Baptist Church.
Mr. Kimes is survived by his daughter, Ashley DeFord (Brook) of Sallis, MS; brothers, Curtis O. Kimes (Ellen) of Greenville, MS, Joseph Kimes of Memphis, TN, and Roger Burt of Sandy Nook, KY; sister, Diane Purvis of Warren, AR, and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Curtis Kimes, Joseph Kimes, David Long, Dee Long, Larry Adams, and Donnie Adams.
