Brenda Faye Palmertree, 58, of Greenwood, MS, died Friday, March 13, 2026, at AMG Hospital in Batesville, MS. Visitation will be 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.  Wednesday at Williams & Lord Funeral Home and services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in chapel. Rev. Butch Kelly will officiate. Burial will be in Odd Fellows East Cemetery.

Brenda was born October 26, 1967, in Greenwood, to William Marshall Blount and Bonnie Jewel Dunn Blount. She worked at the Leflore County Humane Society and at John Richard for many years. She loved taking care of cats, dogs, and helping with their forever homes. She also loved spending time with her family and friends, mostly with her grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Lee Palmertree of Carrollton, MS; daughters, Amber Gregg and husband Richard of Carrollton, MS, and Elizabeth Palmertree of Greenwood, MS; grandson, Richard Gregg of Carrollton, MS; and a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Richard Gregg, Steve Dunn, Lloyd Dunn, Mark Wiggins, Jerry Moore, and Arvid Woodard. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Whittington, Marty Wiggins, and Mike Castle.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Leflore County Humane Society, 1810 Cypress Avenue, Greenwood, MS 38930.
