Services for Mr. Bobby Lee Sims will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2022 2:00 PM at Phillipston Baptist Church in Sidon, MS.

Mr. Sims, age 80, died on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at his residence.

He was born on August 28, 1942 in Morgan City, MS, to the late Lee Edmon Sims and Mildred Carpenter Sims. He was a retired farmer and mechanic. He resided in Texas for over 30 years and in the Phillipston Community the past 30 years. He was a faithful member of Phillipston Baptist Church where he served as a deacon; preceded in death by his sister, Lanier Green.

He is survived by his two brothers, Jackie Sims, Sr. (Terri), of Phillipston, MS, and Teddy Sims (Cricket), of Phillipston, MS; two sisters Betty Sansing (Allen), of Brandon, MS, and Linda Smith (Bob), of Brandon, MS; brother-in-law, Doyle Green, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Phillipston Baptist Church. Rev. George Mims will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Jackie Sims, Sr., Teddy Sims, Jackie Sims Jr, Robert Bowen, Adam Bowen, and Nathaniel Sims. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Phillipston Community. Burial will follow Phillipston Cemetery.
