Billy Harold Gregg, Sr. 78, of Carrollton, MS, died Saturday, July 7, 2018 at his daughter's home in Itta Bena. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 9, 2018 from 2:00 pm until 3:30 pm at Williams and Lord Funeral Home and graveside services will be held at 4:00 pm in Itta Bena Cemetery.

Billy Harold Gregg, Sr. was born on April 10, 1940 in Itta Bena, MS, to Ernest Albert Gregg and Eloise Palmore Gregg. He is preceded in death by his wife, Nora Ruth Walls Gregg, parents, and brothers, Charles Douglas Gregg, Ernest Gail "Moon" Gregg, and Robert Dwight Gregg.

Billy married his sweetheart and best friend on November 21, 1959 living life together for nearly 59 years. Nora went to be with Jesus on April 17, 2018. Their home was in Itta Bena where they lived and raised three children. Billy was a member of the First Baptist Church of Itta Bena.

Billy is survived by his son, Billy Harold, Jr. (Ginger) of Carrollton MS, son, Richard Albert Gregg (Martha) of Greenwood MS, and daughter, Lori Suzanne Gregg Brasel(Ray) of Itta Bena, MS. Six grandchildren, Mindy Belk (Eli) of Boyle, MS, Johnny Ray Brasel (Haley) of Greenwood, MS, Ashley Gregg of Jackson, MS, Richard Gregg (Amber) of Greenwood, MS, Nicole Gregg (JJ Lance) of Carrollton, MS, and Matthew Gregg (Meagan) of Greenwood, MS. Four great- grand children, Cam Belk, Lori Marie Belk, Skyler Upchurch, and Aiden Lance.

Billy opened his own business, in 1973, Gregg's Tune-Up in Itta Bena, where he is known for his mechanic skills and later added his two sons to the business (Lakeshore Motors, Inc.) where they were in business for 32 years. Over the years, Billy enjoyed teaching and watching his grandsons grow their mechanic skills as well. Billy was a big part of the Itta Bena community where he came upon many people who became his friend.

Billy was a loving, caring man who enjoyed reminiscing about good times. The memories he shared with his family will last a lifetime. He always cherished his first cousins growing up together and the mentioning of all his loving nieces and nephews. Family was important to him.

Billy had two loving dogs, Sugar and Splenda. Sugar had been by his side for 11 years.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Ray Brasel, Jr., Matthew Thomas Gregg, Richard Albert Gregg, Eli Belk, JJ Lance, and Wayne Minyard.
