Services for Betty Mims Blake will be held Monday, June 26, 2017 02:00 PM at Graveside in Odd Fellows East Cemetery.
Mrs. Blake, age 82, died on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Golden Age Nursing Home in Greenwood.
She was born on December 28, 1934 in Carroll County, MS, to the late Arthur and Charlie Mae Goss Mims and resided in Greenwood most of her life. She retired from Bellsouth after 35 years of service, and she also worked for Deviney for 10 years. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and the Telephone Pioneers. She is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Douglas "Bill" Blake.

She is survived by two daughters, Arlene Johns (Jerry) of Ferriday, LA, and Debbie Fancher of Holcomb, MS; two sons, Art Blake (Ann) of McCarley, MS, and William Blake of Greenwood, MS; three sisters, Sadie Mims of Greenwood, MS, Mary Lois Kimble of Greenwood, MS, and Nellie Woodard of Greenwood, MS; brother, Arthur Mims Jr. of Carrollton, MS, twelve grandchildren, and fourteen great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 26, 2017 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Williams & Lord Funeral Home in Greenwood. Pallbearers will be Dalton Blake, Baker Blake, Brandon Curry, John Fancher, Robert Fancher, and Josh Johns. Burial will be in Odd Fellows East Cemetery.
