Beatrice Allene Barrentine Oates , 76, of Greenwood, MS, died Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at Golden Age Nursing Home. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Centerville Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. James Woodall will officiate.

Mrs. Oates was born April 1, 1944 to Edward Lafayette Barrentine and Olga Beatrice Jones Barrentine. She was a member of Abundant Life Pentecostal Church of God. She loved her church, genealogy, and her cats. She worked at Gibson's and Walmart. She was preceded in death by her husband, Autry Oates, Sr., brother, Albert Barrentine, and sister, Anne Johnson.

She is survived by her step-son, Junior Oates and wife Michelle of Grenada, MS; step-daughter, Anita Barlow of Tunica, MS; sister-in-law, Faye Barrentine of Greenwood, MS; nieces, Loretta Storms of Carroll County, MS, and Sandra Boatner of Louisiana; nephew, James Barrentine of Greenwood, MS; step-grandson, Trey Oates and wife Kim of Greenwood, MS, and step-granddaughter, Shae Phillips.
