Services for Barbara Kay Napier Reed will be held Monday, January 15, 2018 11:00 AM at Drew Baptist Church in Drew, MS.

Mrs. Reed, age 73, died on Friday, January 12, 2018 at her residence in Oxford, MS.

She was born on February 18, 1944 in Muskegon, Michigan, to Warren and Kathryn Lentz Napier and lived in Oxford, MS. She is preceded in death by her father, Warren Napier, and a brother, Ronnie Napier. Barbara worked for Mississippi Department of Corrections at Parchman, MS, for twenty five years in payroll before her retirement.

Barbara is survived by husband of 53 years James "Jim" C. Reed of Oxford, MS, daughter, Charlotte{Michael) Wagner of Sumner, MS, daughter, Lisa Smith of Oxford, MS, son, Mark (Savy) Reed of McDonough, GA, son, Jimmy Reed of Drew, MS,  mother, Kathryn Lentz Napier of Kennett, MO, sister, Tammy Wilkerson of Paragould, AR,  brother, Ronald Napier of Grover, MO,  brother, Terry Napier of Kennett, MO, and seven  grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 15, 2018 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Drew Baptist Church. Al Cummins will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Michael Wagner, Mark Reed, Jimmy Reed, Josh Reed, Justin Smith, Lawrence Wagner, Michael Gilbow, and Alex Napier. Burial will follow in Drew Cemetery.
