Services for Barbara Jean Phillips will be held Saturday September 3, 2016 10:30 AM at Spain Family Cemetery in Avalon, MS.
Mrs. Phillips, age 71 died on Tuesday August 30, 2016 at Crystal Health and Rehab from an extended battle with cancer. She was born on January 16, 1945 in Memphis, TN to the late Charles and Nettie Shoemaker Spain and lived in Greenwood, MS since 1963. She was a homemaker and a member of New Haven Baptist Church. Mrs. Price loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She loved the lord and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by a daughter, Barbara Breeland of Greenwood, a brother, Charles Spain of Avalon, MS, two sisters; Ray Ann Spain of Holly Springs and Joann Dulack of Grand Rapids, MI, three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday September 3, 2016 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Williams & Lord Funeral Home in Greenwood. Perry Irvin will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be: Jason Reid, Andy Harper, Jason Johnson, Lester Bullard, Joseph Breeland, Donnie Norris. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Cancer Research on her behalf. Burial will be in Spain Family Cemetery.
