Services for Barbara Ann Box Makamson will be held Saturday March 05, 2016 02:00 PM at Phillipston Baptist Church in Phillipston, MS.
Mrs. Makamson, age 78 died on Monday February 29, 2016 at Golden Age Nursing Home in Greenwood of heart failure.
She was born on November 13, 1937 in Morgan City, MS to the late Walter and Annie Carpenter Box and lived in Greenwood, MS. Mrs. Makamson was an active member of Phillipston Baptist Church. She Loved to read, run traps with her husband, the outdoors, gardening, and to play cards especially spades and hearts. She is preceded in death by her husband James Edward Makamson Jr.

She is survived by two Daughters, Judy Carpenter of Greenwood and Joyce Elaine Berry of Houston, TX, two sons, James Makamson III of Greenwood and John Erwin Makamson of Hattiesburg, and grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 4, 2016 from 5:00P.M. till 7:00P.M. at Williams and Lord Funeral Home in Greenwood. Reverend George Mims will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be, John Makamson, James Makamson, David Berry, Teddy Sims, Jackie Sims, Bobby Sims, Bill Lindsey, and Justin Carpenter. Honorary Pallbearers will be, Charles Makamson and Sonny Taylor. Burial will be in Phillipston Baptist Church Cemetery. Williams & Lord Funeral Home is in charge. Memorials may be made to Phillipston Baptist Church.
