Barbara Long Burden, age 80, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 19, 2022 in Davie, FL.

She was born in Sunflower County, MS, to William Wesley Long and Elizabeth Mae Browning Long.  She lived most of her life in Greenwood, MS, and worked as a cashier and office clerk at Piggly Wiggly and Big Star grocery stores, as well as DeLoach's in downtown Greenwood.  Mrs. Burden was an avid reader and enjoyed nothing more than a good cup of coffee.

Mrs. Burden was preceded in death by her husband, Arvel Burden, her son, Allen "Tootie" Burden, her daughter, Tammie Burden Denton, and granddaughter, Elizabeth Mae Denton.

She is survived by her daughter, Terri Punziano and husband Carmine and their children, Antonella, Sofia and Michael; her son, Wesley "Bubba" Burden and his children, Hunter, Rebeka, Lauren, Jenna and Jack; her two surviving sisters, Jimmie Stonestreet and Terosa Bradley of Mississippi; her twin brother, Robert "Bobby" Long of Chicago, Illinois; and countless cousins, nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Wes Burden, Carmine Punziano, Michael Punziano, Michael Bradley, Jonas Bradley, and Jake Johnson.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Williams and Lord Funeral Home. Graveside service will follow immediately at 12 p.m. in Evergreen Cemetery in North Carrollton, MS.  Services will be officiated by Mrs. Burden's nephew, Rev. Billy Ray Stonestreet.
