Arthur Palmertree , 79, of North Carrollton, MS, died Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at University Medical Center in Grenada, MS. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Moore's Memorial Cemetery in Carroll County, MS. Rev. Lanny Haley will officiate.

He was born on August 2, 1942 in Water Valley, MS. He retired from Tech Tire Repairs after 37 years. Gardening was his passion, and he was known for his perfect straight rows and a bounty of vegetables that he always shared. He loved his cat, his vast selection of oldies music, and most of all his family. He was so proud of his girls. He was preceded in death by his parents, Burt Palmertree and Kathleen Palmertree, and his beloved grandparents, Jessie and Eula Perry, and brother, Bobby Ray Bowles.

Arthur is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Bunny Montgomery Palmertree of North Carrollton, MS; his daughters, Lynda (Paul) Willoughby of Fort Mill, SC, and Elaine (Steve Ivey) Palmertree of Lake Wylie, SC; his grandchildren, Hannah Willoughby of Boston, MA, Joshua Willoughby of Clemson, SC, Jeremy Willoughby of Clemson, SC, Sarah Willoughby of Fort Mill, SC, and Lilly O'Brien of Lake Wylie, SC; two brothers, Joe Palmertree of Tupelo, MS, and Curtis Palmertree of Winfield, AL; and one sister, Mary Palmertree Dickey of Saltillo, MS.

Pallbearers will be Scott Montgomery, Patrick Montgomery, Chris Payne, Duane Montgomery, Steve Ivey, and Paul Willoughby.
