Arlene Renfroe Everett, 88, of Avalon, MS, died Friday, October 11, 2024, at University Medical Center in Grenada, MS.  A private family service was held on Thursday, October 17, 2024, with burial in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Carroll County. Rev. Lanny Haley officiated the service.

Mrs. Everett was born on March 29, 1936, in Greenville, MS, to Robert and Eunice Clemons Renfroe. She was of Baptist faith and was a homemaker. She enjoyed crafting, art shows and gospel singings. She is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Roy D. Everett; daughter, Teresa Hurst; brothers, Earnest Renfroe and Claude Renfroe; and her parents.

She is survived by her sons, Mike Everett and wife Rebecca, and Doug Everett and wife Donna; twin sister, Erlene Massey of Indianola, MS; and brother, Bob Renfroe of San Antonio, TX.

Five grandchildren: Jeremy Everett, Jon (Kim) Everett, Hope (Henry) Nunley, Justin (April) Hurst, and Casey Hurst.

Nine great grandchildren: Morgan Everett, Ashleigh Everett, Matthew Everett, Carter Nunley, Bella Nunley, Tristan (Ruby) Hurst, Hannah Hurst, Jessie Hurst and Kamrean Hurst.

Three great-great grandchildren: Levi Hurst, Lilyn Hurst, and Evangeline Wiltsie.

Pallbearers were Casey Hurst, Tristan Hurst, Jon Everett, Matthew Everett, Henry Nunley and Johnathan Holloway.

Williams & Lord Funeral Home was charge of arrangements.
