Services for Alice Faye Goss Minyard will be held Friday, February 21, 2020 10:00 AM at Calvary Baptist Church in Greenwood, MS.

Mrs. Minyard, age 79, died on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at George County Regional Hospital in Lucedale, MS.

She was born on April 2, 1940 in Avalon, MS, to the late William (Bud) and Cecil McDaniel Goss and lived in Greenwood, MS. She was a homemaker, resided in Indianola, and lived in Greenwood the past twenty years. Faye was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and retired from Super Value Grocery and Mims Oil Company.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas "Tarheel" Minyard, sister, Corean Minyard, and brothers, Curtis Goss, Clifton Goss, Olin Goss, Bennie Goss, and Harmon "Bubba" Goss.

She is survived by her daughter, Sharron (Steve) Alderman of Lucedale, MS; son, Thomas (Pam) Minyard of Olive Branch, MS; brother, Travis (Wanda) Goss of Avalon, MS; sisters, Virginia Minyard of Pascagoula, MS, and Myrtle Simpson of Avalon, MS; grandchildren, Mitchell (Tiffany) Minyard, Lee (Whitney) Alderman , Anna (Matt) Poole , Dale (Jacqueline) Alderman , Katie (Michael) Baxter, and Mark (Kara) Minyard; and seven great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Thursday, February 20, 2020 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Calvary Baptist Church in Greenwood, and from 9:00 AM until service time Friday. Rev. Jerry Jones will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be, Terry Minyard, Charles Minyard, Brad Minyard, Brian Goss, Mitchell Minyard, Lee Alderman, Dale Alderman, and Mark Minyard. Burial will follow in Moore's Memorial Cemetery in Carroll County.
