Alice Mae Jenkins Haley, 82 of Greenwood died Thursday, October 13, 2016 at her residence. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Carroll County. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, October 17, 2016, and also Tuesday, 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Williams & Lord Funeral Home. Bro. Larry Shackelford will officiate. Burial will be in New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Carroll County.
Mrs. Haley was born June 15, 1934 to Jim Tom Jenkins and Essie May Beam Jenkins. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Margaret Cummings, three brothers, Pete Jenkins, James Jenkins, and Mack Jenkins, and granddaughter, Ashley Russell. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Haley is survived by her husband of 56 years, Lester Haley of Greenwood, four daughters, Shirley Myers Chitwood of Greenwood, MS, Linda Smith of Azle, TX, Barbara Haley of Grenada, MS, Sandra Chitwood of Greenwood, MS, two sons, David Lewis of Greenwood, MS, Jerry Haley of Greenwood, MS, sisters, Willie Lee Haley of Greenwood, MS and Adell Davis of North Carrollton, MS, brother, J.W. Jenkins of Carrollton, MS. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be David Lewis, Steve Rape, David Irwin, Terry Haley, Michael Haley, and Little Joe Gentry. Honorary Pallbearers will be Chris Knoll.
